Steve Koebele advises clients and advocates for the successful development of public policy in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government.  His client roster is diverse and composed of market leaders in their respective industries.  His offices are located next to the Texas Capitol.

Professional Experience
Steve Koebele has extensive experience working in key positions throughout Texas state government, including work experience with current chairmen and leadership members of the Texas legislature.  Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Koebele served as legal counsel and other capacities for then-Governor George W. Bush and as counsel in support of the Bush Administration at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

For more than 14 years, Mr. Koebele has been a licensed attorney in both Texas and Washington, D.C.   During his public service career, he worked intimately with senior staff and top public policy makers at both the state and federal levels of government.  His experience includes advancing public policy with members of the current Texas legislative leadership.  In addition to service in the Office of the Attorney General and Office of the Comptroller, Steve Koebele served in three capacities at the state level on behalf of George W. Bush: 

• Assistant General Counsel, Office of the Governor
• Director of Research, Governor Bush Committee
• Legal Counsel, Texas Inaugural Committee

On the federal level, Mr. Koebele served in Washington, D.C. as legal counsel in the United States Department of Justice.   He performed legal research, analysis, and drafting related to public policy initiatives of the Department and the Bush Administration.  Mr. Koebele performed supporting legal research and worked closely with legislative staff and legal counsel.

Mr. Koebele has delivered successful arguments on behalf of clients before tribunals ranging from the state administrative level to the Supreme Court of Texas.  His executive branch experience includes achieving legal and public policy goals involving issues before many state agencies, including the following:
